At our recent Priest Council Meeting with Archbishop Gomez, he asked us how the pandemic is affecting the parishes.

All 20 pastors at the meeting, including me, reported that their Sunday Offertory collection was at 50% to 60% of normal, and all of them were becoming very worried about how their parish would survive financially through the pandemic and what would happen to the parish staff if they needed to be laid off.

At St. James we are trying our utmost to reduce our expenditures.

(The monies collected for Our Faith. Our Future. are held in a Restricted Account and cannot be used for parish operating expenses.)

The parish staff is continuing to call parishioners to see how you are doing and are continuing to provide spiritual enrichment through daily Masses and messages posted on this website.

Thank you for the many calls of appreciation that we can still be together as a parish family as best we can with this outreach.
